I know the things I just shared with you in the blogs before this one are probably hard to comprehend. I understand. When we get to 2017 you will see why I decided to come out. I told you in my first blog on" walking with mental illness" that people that called themselves my friends would disappear. But I also told you everything I will say will be true. I knew the risk. I am okay with that.  Now Larue Carter ended up being closed down due to unethical treatment of patients. Someone wore a video camera in there and showed it to someone of importance. The patients got nothing but sent to somewhere new. Like dogs. I had already left before they were shut down. And I am Thankful everyday they did.  Well we got through that. Here we are standing at the cross roads. I knew this day would come that I was going to have to say goodbye one more time. But this time is different this time there is a peace that is like no another. You have always been my strength. When I didn't believe in myself. You believed in me. You are the reason God and I have a relationship. There are many reasons actually but you are one. You showed me that even when times get tough you still praised His name. Even when we felt broken and completely lost together. Sitting for coffee at your tale every morning in its own way has saved my life. By showing me that love is patient, love is kind. You have always been kind to me especially when I didn't deserve it. I know how much you love my blog. I knew how much you loved to watch me dance. For the Lord and other times surviving this life. When the whole family is sick the whole family needs treated. I was reminded of how the little things are triggers. If someone goes to rehab the real sobriety doesn't start until they are put back in their environment. Also the color of their room and the old clothes they used to wear. The spoons stuck in the books. Or the paraphernalia they forgot in their hoodie. The smell of the comforter where they done their business. I can take you to my closet and show you the exact shirt I was wearing the last time I got high. So when one decides to go off to get help the first thing that needs to be done is a total redo in their room. Period. Now as far as the rest of the family. There should be an evaluation. Does mom have a problem? Does dad? Does whoever else is in their life? If so ,then treatment needs to begin at a family level.
